Exhibitions

Halso belongs to the original group of the so-called Helsinki School and focuses his research on the visual imagination of the natural sciences, adopting – as he himself states – “the attitude of a joyous scientist, without any obligation for truth or results”. His photographs are the result of direct interventions on the landscape, even if he recourse to 3D technology to integrate rendering and real images. Halso investigates the relationship between nature, technology and architecture and offers a reflection on the world in which human beings interact with the natural environment. The photograph in the collection, Garden with a View – Inside view, looks at nature no longer as a resource to be exploited but as a precious asset to be treasured. The scaffolding alludes to the urgent requirement to take responsibility for nature, to preserve it and restore it, just as we do with the historic monuments and buildings.
