Claudio Baraldi, PhD of Sociology and Social Research (University of Trento) and professor of sociology for cultural and communication processes (Arts Faculty of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia). He lectures Social systems and communication culture, Theory and methods of dialog and communication and Sociology of the conflicts. He is vice-director of Centro Studi sulle Culture della Pace e della Sostenibilità (CPS), vice-director of the Centro Interdisciplinare di Ricerche e Studi su Famiglia, Infanzia e Adolescenza (CIRSFIA), member of the scientific council of the Centro Interuniversitario di Analisi dell’Interazione e della Mediazione (AIM), member of the scientific council of the research committee on Sociology of Infancy of the International Sociological Association (ISA), member of the scientific council of the research committee on infantry and child Sociology of the European Sociological Association (ESA), director of the Master in International Cooperation. He deals with communication, social systems and cultural forms, doing research and didactics mostly focused on methodology of visual sociology. His empiric research concerns the forms and cultures of infancy and adolescence, the forms and cultures of the intervention for children and adolescents, the intercultural communication, the forms of discrimination and respect for people, production and conduct of conflicts, the methodology and techniques of dialogue and interlinguistic and intercultural mediation, the evaluative analysis of projects, intervention processes and their results. On these themes, he directed and coordinated over sixty empiric research programs and published seven volumes as unique author, eleven as coauthor, twenty as curator and co-curator, over hundred essays on volumes and review, in national and international field.
