Domenico Riccardo Peretti Griva
The Pictorialism in Italy
Fondazione Fotografia presents the work of one of the greatest Italian artist in the early twentieth century: Domenico Ricardo Peretti Griva (1882-1926).
Amongst striking landscapes and the petty bourgeoisie portraits, the exhibition shows precious prints – made by using silver bromide – on the track of the artistic trend of Pictorialism, that first contributed to declare photography as an art form.
The show features works from the Turin National Museum of Cinema and an unpublished album from a private collection.
