PIANETA 19 (2016)

The keyword of my research is “atmosphere”. On one side, the title Planet 19 refers to something real like planets, surrounded by the presence of the atmosphere, on the other side it evokes the memory of imaginary planets, plunged in an unreal atmosphere.

The core of this project is the ability of the light and of the personal experiences to transform reality into something new. The black is the point of connection between reality and imagination that allows to dive into a new visual universe.

LOCUS DUPLEX (2017)

On one side the bare city, an open construction site, and on the other, a face that denies the vision of its gaze.

Its hidden face leads us to reflect on the contiguous space, the hollow city without any trait of reality.

The images create a visual correspondence between the human presence and the space, and they investigate how they affect each other.

The human experience, intense and sometimes traumatic, takes over the city and turns it into a dramatic yet impalpable place.

The project investigates what remains after these changes happen: a different perception, a different glimpse on the walls of the city – which is possible only if narrated through these eyes.

In this sense the title Locus Duplex, twofold place, reflects the duplicity between concrete space and mental space, between possible and unreal.
