INSERT TITLE (2016)
The lack of communication is the inability to communicate with others and it originates from the difficulty of human beings to establish a deep relationship with their inner self. The video wants to reflect on the human/technology relationship and on the role performed by words in our life. Words constantly acquire and lose value when they are read and heard. It’s a self portrait hidden behind corruption, which acts as a shield that hides and shows. The message is at the same time present and damaged.
The term “easy listening” refers to all that musical production destined for mass entertainment. An investment that obeys laws of production, consumption and profit, a product in which society communicates and reflects. Most of these songs feature the female universe, often linked to love situations that elevate or condemn. Blasé, playful, ironic, bold, Scanzonata is a reflection and analysis of the most popular easy listening products in the second half of the twentieth century in Italy, linked to female singers. The more and less well-known album covers become part of an archive focused not on music but on the words accompanying it, often swallowed by the rhythm of a frivolous and engaging beat. Singers are taken away from their identity, concealed behind the words they sing but are not always listened to. The image contrasts with the contents of the songs engraved on the albums, reflecting the various aspects of the evolution of Italian society and its way of seeing the woman.
